Custer Legionnaires,

South Dakota Department of Health has established a “Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Updates and Information” webpage at, https://doh.sd.gov/news/Coronavirus.aspx. It contains; statewide status, precautions, guidance, and resources in a quick and usable format.

There has been much news about the COVID-19 Coronavirus. The SD DOH webpage provides information you can actually use. It is a good first stop for those searching for local data.

As far as the near-future, expect; event cancellations, temporary closure of facilities, travel slowdown/cancellation, and increased “remote working”. All of this “social distancing” is designed to slow the virus’s spread.

What you can do is to pay close attention to your own health and casual physical contact with others. Remember to keep in touch with relatives, friends, and neighbors who may be at risk. These especially include the elderly, homebound, and those with existing medical conditions. Your assistance may be critical for them.

Stay healthy!
